Our Rules

Welcome to Seize the Birthday! This is a bi-monthly challenge blog, aimed at helping you get those Birthday Cards done.

When: Our challenges go live on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at Noon EST.  Our Winners' announcements are posted an hour prior to the next challenge going live at 11 AM EST.

Our Topping: We will throw in a "Topping" Option for each challenge!  If you don't want to use the topping any Birthday card and or project will do.  You still have a chance to win even if you don't use a topping!

Neutrals: If our Topping happens to be a Color Challenge, here is a list of neutrals you are allowed to add to your card and or project; white, black, grey, kraft, brown, cream, gold, and silver. Just make sure the Colors of the Challenge are evident.

How we choose our winners:  The Design Team member that selected the topping for the challenge is the DT member that will also choose the winners.  We will have 2 overall challenge winners, one using the topping and one without. The remaining 3 Birthday Honours can be any combination of topping or no topping birthday cards.  For example; 2 with toppings and 1 without or 1 with a topping and 2 without. We leave that up to the DT member's discretion.

What products: All products are welcome and if you don't want to make a Birthday card we also welcome birthday invitations, tags, gift bags, or anything else you may need for an upcoming birthday celebration!

Surprise Party Guests: We have Two SPGs, as we call them. One is chosen from active participants in our gallery and asked to be with us for a two-month term and the other one is the winner of the challenge using our Topping and will be invited to be with us for one challenge at their convenience.
